Bedsores

Strangely this is a condition that dieticians get to work with, one of the great challenges in nursing homes and trauma patients.

A state of malnutrition often exists when one is bed fast. I like to run the lab tests and talk to your trauma nurse, family, and caretakers to be sure that they are following all the known protocols for nutritional success.

Many times the bandages are changed daily but nutrition, light and air are not part of the healing process. Very often, the body needs extra nutrients while healing. Like a car uses more gas when it is going up a mountain.

We could talk about food intake, elimination, dietary supplementation, and the basics of good health. Your cells need the proper nutrients to heal your body. Data shows that when nutrition is part of the program sores heal 60% faster.
